Nanna Koerstz Madsen is a Danish professional golfer who plays on the Ladies European Tour and the LPGA Tour. She began playing golf at the age of seven and joined her first professional tour in 2013. Since then she has won multiple awards and titles, including the 2014 LET Access Series Order of Merit and two LET Tour victories. In 2019, she was named Rolex Rookie of the Year, an award recognizing a female golfer who most significantly impacted their respective tour during their rookie season. Nanna Koerstz Madsen’s Early Career
Nanna Koerstz Madsen started her golfing career in 2008 as an amateur. She was a member of the Danish Ladies Amateur Golf team from 2008 to 2011. In 2009, she won the Girls 15-17 category at the European Young Masters. In 2011, she won the Danish Girls Championship and finished runner-up in the Ladies Amateur Championship. That same year, she also competed in her first professional event, the Lalla Meryem Cup on the Ladies European Tour (LET).
In 2012, Koerstz Madsen turned professional and joined LET. She had an impressive rookie season, finishing in the top 10 six times and winning two tournaments – The RACV Ladies Masters and The Turkish Airlines Ladies Open. She also finished runner-up in two other tournaments – The New Zealand Women’s Open and the Deloitte Ladies Open.
In 2013, Koerstz Madsen continued to impress by winning three LET tournaments – The Deloitte Ladies Open, Omega Dubai Moonlight Classic and Qatar Ladies Open. She also earned her first ever major title at The Evian Championship in 2014, becoming only the second Danish woman to win a major championship. Since then, she has gone on to become one of the most successful players on LET with numerous wins and top ten finishes.
